Our certified sound therapy guide utilizes a method known as "Integral Sound Healing," developed by the Sound Healing Academy. This method combines modern science, ancient wisdom, music theory, & sound therapy while drawing from a diverse range of cultures worldwide. As a holistic, non-invasive therapy it is used to promote relaxation, reduce stress, & improve overall well-being.
Yes, this form of therapy is often referred to broadly as a sound bath, sound healing, or sound journey. Although, not every practitioner has the same training or uses the same method.
Our guide uses crystal singing bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, weighted & unweighted tuning forks, a frame drum, chimes, rainstick, & some handcrafted instruments. Not every instrument is used during every session as he will feel his way through the appropriate instruments to use during each session. He may also use his voice if needed. No two sessions will be the same as they are all based upon the need in the moment.
A session will last approximately one hour. This includes time to settle into a comfortable position (typically laying on a cushioned floor mat), 45-50mins for the guide to lead you through sound, & 5mins of silent integration at the end.
Our Boundless public sound bath sessions can accomodate up to 16 people and are held in our open studio space. We also have a smaller space for private sessions of up to 4 people. One-to-one sessions use this same private space & provide an opportunity for more individualized focus with a variety of instruments & techniques.
This is the best part - nothing is required of you! Show up in comfortable clothes, with an open mind & our sound guide will do the rest.
Note, all of our floor mats, linens, & pillows are cleaned after each session. However, if you prefer to bring your own supplies for any reason, you are welcome to do so.
Yes, our sound guide will make all necessary changes to accommodate prenancy, including not placing any instruments on your body. Please be sure to inform him of your pregnancy at the time of booking.
Unfortunately, no, we won't be able to conduct a session for you as the sound from our instruments may be a trigger.
